What We Engineer

Two Ways We Work On Your Vessel

Whether you’re building a new pressure vessel or keeping an existing one in service, the engineering is ours to own — end to end.

New Vessels

Design

Complete ASME Section VIII, Division 1 & 2 design of the vessel and every component.

  • Shell & head sizing and wall-thickness calculations
  • Nozzle, flange, and reinforced-opening design
  • Support, saddle, skirt, and lug design
  • Stamped calculation package and fabrication drawings
Existing Vessels

Validation & Re-Rate

Prove out an in-service vessel — by analysis, re-rate, or fitness-for-service.

  • Finite element analysis (FEA) for non-standard geometry
  • Re-rating for new pressure, temperature, or service
  • Fitness-for-service evaluation (API 579)
  • U-stamp and National Board registration coordination

FAQ

Working With Weldment

Can Weldment act as our overflow engineering department?

Yes — that’s a core part of what we do. When your board is full or backlog is building, we absorb vessel and tank work under your direction and return stamped, code-ready packages on your timeline.

When does a pressure vessel need a P.E. and ASME stamp?

Most vessels above 15 psig fall under ASME BPVC Section VIII, and jurisdictions require registered, code-stamped design. We deliver calculations and drawings ready for the AHJ and National Board registration.

What codes do you design to?

ASME BPVC Section VIII, API 650 and 620, API 661, AWWA D100, UL-142, and ASME BPE for sanitary service — plus TEMA for heat exchangers.

Can you review or re-rate an existing vessel?

Yes. We perform code-compliance reviews, fitness-for-service, and re-rating so aging equipment can stay in service safely.

Do you provide FEA and formal calculations?

Yes — finite-element analysis and complete calculation packages back every design, especially for Division 2 and non-standard geometry.

Are you licensed outside our state?

Our licensed engineers cover projects across the U.S., so one team can support multi-site vessel and tank programs.
